Ladder, vintage projector, vintage slides.
Projection Technology from the fifties in a typical arrangement evokes memories and feelings of finiteness. To those who are not familiar with this technology the installation appears peculiar and old-fashioned. The projected slide adds a dimension of humor and invites contemplation.

Prayer Flags along Highway 86, 2003

We, "modern" people of the 21 century, have turned to the brand names of today’s cars, for safety and comfort on the road. We worship them by acknowledging their "status value" and we are prepared to give sacrifice by paying horrendous amounts of money for them.
Fact is, so far these gods have not heard our prayers. Maybe the ancient prayer techniques presented here can help alleviate this misery.
